“Donald is a bitch.” She’s allowed to say it. She’s his sister.
“be crime do gay.” darcie that’s not how that works
❝ Is this a joke? Because if it is, I'll admit, it's funny. You're just jokin', right Darc? ❞
@livesforgttn
“Why would I joke about this?” There was a hint of hysteria to Darcie’s voice as she stared at Chad. “Right after my sister vanished to god knows where in a test rocket? What the fuck kind of person do you think I am?” She needed to breathe. She needed to talk to Donald. She probably should talk to Uncle Scrooge, but... No. Not yet. She wasn’t ready for that yet. “I’m pregnant, Chad. And I’m pretty sure it’s your fault.”
‘ Hands are weird because one of them can do absolutely everything without a problem and the other one can’t even hold a spoon ’
@heroiic-pilot
“Oh, I know. I broke my arm when I was fourteen because I got distracted by the ancient art in a temple Uncle Scrooge brought us to and I fell into a trap and wasn’t able to use my dominant hand. So I trained myself to everything with my right.”
❛ You’re not alone. i’m staying right here. ❜
@heroiic-pilot
“I won’t tell you to leave.” Darcie has never wanted people to leave her. She’s never really given anyone the chance. "If you want to stay, you’re more than welcome. I think the others are just waiting for the other shoe to drop.” So was she. No matter how good she tried to be, even Darcie wasn’t sure she could stop running anymore.
“I just wanted you to be there. I just wanted to know that I wasn’t alone. But you weren't.”
@decanard
“I couldn’t do it, Donald.” Darcie hasn’t moved from the window since her brother entered the room. She wants to run and she can’t face him like that. “I couldn’t stay in one place and raise the boys like everything was alright. I’m not that strong. I never have been. I’m not- I’m not you, and I’m not Della. I can’t... I can’t have people relying on me that can’t take care of themselves. So I left.”
❛ You can still be good. ❜
@heroiic-pilot
“I’ve never been bad, Launchpad.” She’s sure that’s not what he means to say, but the phrasing had Darcie on edge. She knew she wasn’t the best sister or aunt or niece, she could see it in her siblings’ and uncle’s face everytime she looked at them. “I just wasn’t like them. It doesn’t mean- I’m not bad.”
❝ isn’t he even going to say goodbye ? ❞ Dalisay pipes up as she watches the guy leave without a word. Not that it’s any of her business, but it just seemed like those two were a thing. Or had just DONE a thing… but either way, she would think a ‘bye-bye’ would be in order. Sucking on her boba tea as she sits at a small table outside the cute cafe, wide eyes are curiously focused on the stranger who apparently, she is conversing with now.
Licking a stray drop of drink off her beak, she then wipes her face with an arm before adding, ❝ Seems kind of rude, don’t you think? ❞
@ducktales-wco-oo
“Oh, he’s an asshole. Always has been, always will be.” Darcie shrugs, before giving the other woman a grin. She’s never been one to shy away from free conversation and Chad’s too far off to be a jerk about anything right now so Darcie sits across from the stranger, slipping her bag off her shoulder to pull out her sketchbook. New people means new inspiration and that was the entire point of traveling.
“Do me a favor, never date a man named Chad. They’re really just all like that.” She adds, flipping the book open to a blank page.
